|In February 1986 The National Mutual Royal Bank was formed with the amalgamation of the Royal Bank of Canada and the National Mutual Permanent
Building Society (VIC).
In March 1987 the National Mutual Royal Savings Bank (NSW) formed from the formerly United Permanent Building Society.
The two NMRB merged in December 1987.
The National Mutual Royal Bank is taken over by the ANZ Bank in April 1990
